Monte Rosa 91: an example of sustainable redevelopment in Milan

Ideal Standard products in the Monte Rosa 91 sustainable redevelopment project in Milan: the building originally delivered to Milan in 2003 by Renzo Piano Building Workshop and redeveloped 20 years later on behalf of AXA Investment Managers.

The redevelopment of Monte Rosa 91, a building originally delivered in Milan in 2003 by Renzo Piano Building Workshop and redeveloped 20 years later on behalf of AXA Investment Managers, has been officially completed. This project transformed the building from a purely office use into a mixed-use campus, designed to meet the needs of its occupants and its surroundings. One of the key choices of the project was the restoration of the glazing to emphasise the integration of interior and exterior and the transformation of the inner hill into a green area.

With a total area of more than 80,000 square metres, including 47,000 square metres of leasable office space and a large green area, Monte Rosa 91 has become the first redeveloped building in Italy to achieve Platinum Wired Score certification, demonstrating a high technological level of connectivity. In addition, the complex will be certified LEED Core & Shell Platinum for energy and climate efficiency, and LEED Ebom Gold for operational effectiveness.

In line with the philosophy of this redevelopment project, Ideal Standard supplied the following products inside the building:

BLEND CURVE

The Blend Curve toilet, part of the Atelier collection and designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba, integrates perfectly into any environment thanks to its neutral design. This product incorporates the latest Ideal Standard innovations, including AquaBlade® flushing technology, ensuring impeccable cleanliness and low water consumption. It is an excellent choice for residential, commercial and sanitary projects.

CONTOUR 21

The Countur 21 washbasin was chosen to emphasise accessibility and elegance. This product represents the attention paid to disabled access, further differentiating the redevelopment project. Developed with a rigorous and scientific approach, the washbasin combines design and comfort for users with limited abilities, guaranteeing a high level of service for all users.
